Pamela Smith Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Pamela Sue Smith, on October 26th, 2024. She was born on May 10th, 1950 in Wheelersburg Ohio to Betty and Raymond Smith.

Pamela was a social justice warrior, environmentalist and passionate writer. She was a social worker who had an extensive career helping others. Her first job was helping families access food stamps, which made her fall in love with the social services field. She did case management through the years helping individuals and families alike. She loved working with the students of Frederick Douglass High School, and helping people secure and keep housing at Legal Aid.

She loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, and keeping up with politics. She loved dancing, watching movies, eating homemade popcorn and Maryland crabs.

She is survived by her sister, Christine M. Smith, her daughter, Elizabeth B. Lemberg, son-in-law, Ilya Lemberg and by her grandson's Logan and Caleb Lemberg. She touched so many people's lives while here on earth. She will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a social justice organization or environmental organization that touches your heart.
