Patricia Roberts Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Christine Roberts was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She peacefully passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the age of 93 in Bel Air, MD. She will be dearly missed and remembered especially for her generosity, dedication, and kindness.

A lifelong Harford County resident, Pat was born to George and Mary Robinson on October 28, 1930. She was sister to James "Jim" Beck, Hap Robinson, and Margaret "Peg" Crabb. Pat met her husband, John Garland Roberts, at a dance, and they remained married for sixty-five years, until his passing in 2019. Together, they had two children: John Jr. and George. She was a dedicated public servant, spending much of her career working for the Ballistic Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground. During that time, she was honored with many professional awards, including the Zornig Award. Pat was equally dedicated to her family and community and was a long-time volunteer at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and her parish, St. Margaret's Church.

An avid gardener, she created beautiful landscapes and enjoyed being outside. Pat especially loved spending time with family and she often brought everyone together by creating delicious meals. She loved to play card games and enjoyed when everyone was together having a good time. Pat was extremely proud of her eight grandchildren, Christopher, Dean, David, Eric, Amy, Noah, Joshua, and Sarah, and two great-grandchildren, Romy and Chandler, through whom her legacy lives on.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing in her honor to St. Margaret's Church, 141 N. Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014.
