Memories and Condolences
for Paul Rappaport

Not sure what to say?

Judy Lee Ross

To the Rappaport family and friends of Paul: It is never too late to write and send one’s condolences, I thought, as I discovered this guest book. Even though I sent cards and attended the funeral, I want the family to know that I think of you often. My prayers continue to be with you. Grieving is not easy; but if shared, lightens the burden.
We were neighbors for many years in Howard County. I become nostalgic looking back as I remember our times together sharing conversation, laughter and tears. I can only be glad that Paul and Margy were neighbors to me as well as my parents. Paul did so much for us and represented a dedicated man loyal to family, friends, and community. I am a better person for knowing Paul Rappaport, and I am grateful for Paul’s life.
My condolences,
Your friend, Judy

Dear Margie & Amy,

We were terribly shocked & deeply saddened to read of Paul's death -- at a much too soon age. Paul was such a fine person , an absolute "prince of a man." He was definitely a class act & I remember how well respected & highly regarded he was in the Howard County legal community. He will always be very fondly remembered by all.

Our deepest sympathy to in your time of sorrow, and may your many wonderful memories of Paul help to somehow assuage the grief you are now feeling.

Pat called us to inform us of Paul's passing. You have endured such tragedy and we wanted you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. There is an old Jewish Proverb, "As he thinks in his heart, so he is." All who knew Paul understood his heart was truly good. That legacy will last forever, give him eternal salvation and all who knew him strength. God Bless

Marge, It was sad to hear the news of the Chief's passing. I always had the upmost respect for him as a person and as a professional law enforcement officer.

At his service, it was really an uplifting experience to see the love, respect and admiration shown by so many that he touched. He truly was a "gentleman" in every sense of the word and lived his life to the highest standards of integity and respect for others. He will truly be missed, but not forgotten.

God Bless Him and your family.

Dear Margie and Family:

A man like Paul seemed as if he would always be here,I guess we take that for granted. His wisdom, his friendship , his gentleness will be missed by so many to count. Now the burden you all will suffer is so heavy I hope you will call upon us or anyone we are all reaching out to help in anyway.

We were so devastated to hear about the loss of Ashley, it is so much to bear.God bless you all.

We are all glad you have each other to hold on tight to and pplease Johnny and I would do anything for you, just let us know.

We will contact you shortly to check up on you.

With love to you and the family ,

Marge,

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Paul. I always enjoyed talking with him. If I could sum up Paul in one word, it would be "dignity." I also enjoyed his quiet humor, and had more than my share of belly laughs with him. He will be missed greatly.
