Leon, Spain; beloved wife of Jaime Jesus Austrich; devoted mother of James G. Austrich and wife Pam, Asuncion Hatch and husband Douglas, Lillian Bowie-Austrich and Jorge I. Austrich and wife Paulette; sister of
Victoria and Agustin Iglesias of California, Justa
Parrado of Havana Cuba and the late Rafael, Tirso and Antonio Iglesias; loving grandmother of Jaime
Austrich, Kristina Poole, Victoria Perkins and Jeremy, Caroline and Teresa Hatch.
Memorial services will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, 12700 Lanham Severn Road, Bowie, MD 20720. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax, VA.

I knew her and the family in Baltimore and also in Puerto Rico. Went to school with Gonzalo.

Piedad was my mother and I am the oldest of four siblings Lillian Austrich Bowie of La Plata MD, Asuncion (Susie) Austrich Hatch of Seattle, WA and James (Gonzalo)Austrich of Bowie, Md. Our family arrived in Baltimore, Maryland in 1963 from Miami after arriving from Havana , Cuba in September of 1960. Our father Jaime Jesus Austrich passed away on April 1, 1991 in Fairfax Virginia.
