Roger, you are an inspiration to me. You will be for the rest of my life. The courage and grace with which you fought for the last 8 years is so admirable. I will always think of you when I have a new challenge to face in my life, whether that challenge is big or small. You will be missed, and I promise you that your nephew Zachary will grow up knowing you and understanding what a special Uncle he had. We love you.

Before I ever met Rog, my mom told me that we had a lot in common and would get along well. She was right. It didn't take long for me to consider him one of the best friends I've ever had. I will miss him every day, but I thank God for giving me the opportunity to get to know Roger, Rachel and the Sterk family. Roger had more courage than anyone I've ever met and my thoughts and prayers will always be with him and his family.
