Samuel Sands Obituary
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Steve was the son of Samuel Stevens Sands Jr. and Rosa Beckwith Sands, both now deceased.
A 1988 graduate of Woodberry Forest School, Steve later attended Rollins College where he graduated in 1992 with a degree in Environmental Studies.
At an early age, Steve developed a deep connection with the outdoors, influenced by fishing trips to Islamorada, Florida. Steve would eventually start his career as a fishing guide in Sanibel, Florida, where he owned the Silver Dollar Charter Company. He spent his adult years fishing and hunting in Maryland and Virginia, continuing his lifelong pursuit of the outdoors.
He is survived by his brother, William Page Sands, his sister-in-law, Jennifer Paige Sands, and his nephew, William Beckwith "Beckett" Sands, who reside in Charleston, SC.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, August 4, at 3:00 PM at St. John's Church, Western Run Parish.
