Dear Diane,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had the great pleasure of working with Steve at SVE. He had such a big heart and such a beautiful smile. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be friends with such a wonderful man. I know he must have touched so many people with his amazing spirit. My heart goes out to you.

I feel blessed to have met and become friends with your husband, son, father & friend a short year and a half ago and know what a true friend he was to Billy-who will always keep Steve deep in his heart.. I'm blessed to now have Steve's amazing legacy in my life. Steve was a genuine, one of a kind guy who is now looking over all of you as your Angel.

Dear Diane, Jessica, Shana, Audra, Marilyn and Bill...Steve was one of my closest friends in high school. I'm not sure if I got him in more hot water than he bailed me out of, but one thing was sure, we had fun at whatever we did. I regret losing contact with Steve after I joined the Army; friends like him don't come around often, so I know how blessed you were. Steve's smile says it all. I will keep you in my prayers.

Audra, my friend - my heart grieves for you and your family. I trust that the One who is "acquainted with grief" and who "has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows" (Isaiah 53) will be your strength and peace.

Dear sweet sister Diane, and girls Jessica, Shana & Audra, Marilyn , Bill and extended family,
Steve was all that and a bag of chips!!! One in a billion, a shining example of a loving husband, devoted father, and Christian champion. May God's grace, blessings, and comfort, lead and guide you through this difficult and sorrowful time. My children and I continue to pray for all of you, that all of your tasks at hand be accomplished and that your suffering be eased. I have had the great privilege to know and love Steve Sears for the past almost 30 years. I will miss him beyond words and have memories too numerous to count. Diane, what a beautiful tribute to your husband. I love you so much.
