Dad, thinking of you today as I do everyday.Pretty soon I won't be able to express on this legacy page how much you are thought of and missed everyday ,that we are lucky enough to walk this earth. I will be as strong as a mountain until the day I get to join you. Even though we won't get to express our feelings after the 16 of this month. I will still visit you at you place where your ashes lay. your beautiful bench. I sit there thinking of all the wonderful days of our life together. Our pass. We remember all the fun times and will talk of them forever. You are and always will be in our greatest memories. Stay cool, funny, special and watch over us all..I love you longer than forever..Angie

Hey Pop-Pop... it's been a year and things just are not the same. You would think when You left us, physically, things might change; People might change. Well, as you have seen, things have not. You are missed every day we walk this earth...Mom, the aunts, the family from Maryland to North Carolina...noone is the same. I just look forward to the day when we are all up in the beautiful, warm, sunny sky having our own 'Pow-Wow, with you, our Chief and Mom-Mom, your squaw; our own song and dance celebration of the good times shared from long ago, from a once close-knit family. Please continue to watch over our family. I'm sure in between your bowling and nut cracking, you keep your eyes on us. I Love You...My 'Hero'.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Rita, Joyce, Brenda, Angie & Ginger, Corey and Sam...

I was shocked to hear of your Dad's/Granddad's passing just today and just want to say how very very sorry I am. I know how close you all were with him, and how much you must miss him. I know just how hard it is to go on... I remember someone telling me once that what would be REALLY sad is if I hadn't had a person in my life that I would miss so much it hurt...I think there's something to be said for that. Everyone should be so lucky! As hard as it is now, take comfort in the fact that you had him as long as you did...

I remember Mr. Will's bubbly personality well...he always made me laugh! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Take care...

Love,

Linda

Through the good and bad times let's band together not harm each other with hurtful words. We are all doing the best we can. Here's to you Debbie and Angela, the gals with the right spirit. May 15, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Happy 5th Anniversary Debbie and Will..

March 28, 2008

Dear Debbie,
Wayne, Alex and I are saddened by the
loss of your wonderful loving husband Will.
Fun loving and kind , we will always
remember him. Yes, Alzheimer's is a cruel
disease. Hopefully someday there will be
a cure. It is truly heartbreaking watching
your loved ones being "taken away" by this dreadful disease.
Therefore it is important to remember him as he was before it all happened.
Remember how full of life he was, how
he loved to laugh, dance, spend true
quality time with all of his family and friends. Deb, you and Will had such a
short time together but they were
truly wonderful times. You both took
such good care of each other. It was
so obvious how much you two adored each other. It was simply adorable how he used to pack your lunch for work and
how he would call you daily to see how
your day was going. True devotion is so
hard to come by, but I saw it clearly in the both of you to each other.
All through his illness, you took wonderful
loving care of him. I do believe that he has gone to a better place & that the Will that we all knew and loved is now lovingly
watching over you and the family. Be strong. Have faith. You and the family
are in our thoughts and prayers. God
bless you dear friend.

to my darling husband will, baby i love you and i will always love you. you have made the last ten years , some of the happiest i have known. i hope very soon, they will find the cure for the dreaded disease, alzheimer's, that had taken away your lively spirit.i would like to thank my family, without whose help i might not have made it.i would like to thank marge west, my friend and will's caretaker, while he suffered his illness at home, so that i could work.i want to thank his two sweet daughters, joyce and angie, and their husbands, george and ted, as well, for giving me support and love during this difficult time. joyce and kelly,my daughter, helped me take care of will in the nursing home. they were there almost as much as i was. they helped me change him, shave him, brush his teeth, wash him, put lotion on him and massage his feet. i'll never forget their help. they looked after me, too. god bless them for that. i hope no one has to go through what i went through when they lose their husbands. thank you all for your well wishes. and to my wonderful husband will- i deeply love you, darling, and look forward to seeing you in our next life together. your devoted wife, debbie
