William E. Wehner Naples, FL
William E. Wehner went home to The Lord peacefully, surrounded by his family, December 3, 2014, after 99 years of a wonderful life.
Bill and his wife, Ruth, moved to Marco Island, FL, in 1979 when Bill retired. They moved from Marco to Bentley Village, in Naples, FL, in 1999. Bill and Ruth were married for 73 beautiful and loving years. Ruth passed away in 2008.
Bill Wehner served with the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II. Bill had a 42 year career with Household Finance Corporation, (HFC), retiring in 1979 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Finance Division.
Bill enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, working out at the wellness center, and watching the Tampa Bay Rays play, (he was their # 1 Fan). He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
Bill will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who felt blessed to be a part of his 99 years.
He is survived by his five children, Lewis and wife, Becky; William Jr. And wife, Donna D; Ruth and husband, Jim; Charlotte and husband, Mike; and Donna Lee. He is also survived by his 15 precious grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren; niece, Suzi and husband, Glenn.
Bill's friends knew him by his robust greeting and big smile. His family will always remember his strong moral values, faith in God, patriotism, and most of all his enormous loving heart.

My thoughts & prayers go out to the entire Wehner family. The best legacy left by Mr & Mrs Wehner was raising such a loving and close knit family!! Donna, the love and compassion you showed while caring for your dad was amazing and an example for all!
