John A. "Jack" Wehner

Apr 6, 1938 - Mar 27, 2026

John A. "Jack" Wehner, age 87, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026.

Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years: Judith Wehner; sons, John A. (Gail) Wehner, Jr. and Joseph (Lindsy) Wehner; granddaughter, Leah Wehner; brother, David (Diana) Wehner; sister, Jeanne (Alan) Collins; sister-in-law, Sharon Wehner.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Pauline Wehner; and brother, Kenneth Wehner.

Jack attended Merrillville High School. He was a member of Local #150 Operating Engineers for 50 years, and owned Wehner Excavating in Crown Point. He was also a member of South Lake County Agricultural Society.

Jack loved his John Deere tractors, and also collected die cast toys.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12 p.m.

Jack will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in John's name to St. Jude Hospital.
