Adele C. Neidlinger Marshall Adele C. Neidlinger, age 97, of Marshall, died Thursday morning, January 14, 2010 at Maplewood of Marshall. Mrs. Neidlinger was born October 10, 1912 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Arthur G. and Anna M. (Kick) Schoenlau. She graduated from the St. Elizabeth School Of Nursing in Granite City, IL in 1933 as a Registered Nurse. She was married to W. Vern Neidlinger on June 15, 1940 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The couple moved to Hanover-Horton in 1967. Mr. Neidlinger preceded her in death in 1997, and Mrs. Neidlinger moved to Marshall after that where she has lived since. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital and Foote Hospital in Jackson for 20 years before retiring. In Marshall she was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and also the Catholic Daughters. She spent time volunteering at Maplewood of Marshall. Surviving are her daughter Lois A. Herr of Overland Park,KS; her son and daughter-in-law Dr. Thomas and Darlene Neidlinger of Marshall; 10 grandchildren Chris (Doug) McLogan of Lee Summit, MO, Craig (Beth) Herr of Huntsville, Alabama, David (Cathy) Herr of Houston, TX , and Rob (Heather) Neidlinger , Mike (Kim) Neidlinger and Justin (Chanel) Neidlinger all of Carlysle, PA, and Andrew Neidlinger of Chicago, and Catherine, Elizabeth and Marc Neidlinger all of Marshall; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister Ann Marie Teague of Laguna Woods, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son Larry Vern Neidlinger on Dec. 26, 2008 and a sister Marge McCowen. Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 723 Old 27 North, Marshall beginning at 12:30p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 1:30p.m. with Rev. Steven Naas of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating. A luncheon and fellowship will follow in the Kempf Reception Hall at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Jackson.
