My prayers and deepest sympathies to the Hagist family.
I had the opportunity to be part of his team and Kellogg, and I have a lot of great memories for many projects, implementations, travels, etc. He was a great leader but most important he was a great person and I'm grateful that had the opportunity to work with him.

My prayers and deepest sympathies to the entire Hagist family. Jack was a wonderful man and fond memories of him will live on in our hearts forever.
Like so many others, I feel blessed to have worked with him at Kellogg's. He was a natural leader and, along with his bigger-than-life personality and booming voice, came a kind and caring nature. I always appreciated his candor and honesty, as well as his jokes. I can still hear him saying "It is what it is" - one of my favorites among many from Jack.
You are missed, my friend - hopefully, our paths will cross again some day. Until then I will cherish all the memories.

My condolences to the entire Hagist family. I loved and admired Jack. He was a great leader, a good person and a friend. He hired me in at Kellogg and I reported to him almost the entire time. Shedding some very real tears today from Seattle. The world lost a good human being. So many similar stories from those that knew him. He will be remembered fondly by many. Rest In Peace Jack.

I am so very saddened to hear Jack lost his battle--too young. There is no doubt Heaven gained an angel to watch over this family. Jack and I started @Kellogg's the same day and I had met Sue prior to that when I interned in the Graphics Dept. during high school. Then both our kids were part of the Pennfield family. Please know my heart aches for you all along with sending prayers for comfort.

Very sad to learn Jack lost his stoic battle with cancer. He was one of a kind and will certainly be missed by his friends and family. I remember conversations in passing when we were both working at Kellogg Company headquarters. We talked about the current state of affairs at Kellogg's and how many more years to retirement. His retirement was cut way too short. I can still hear his deep voice and the way he chuckled with amusement. I also remember times with the youth group at your beautiful log house in the country. My heart goes out to Sue, the kids and grandkids as you mourn his loss but remember his love and kindness.

Jack was just one of those people who inspired and encouraged others.
He ws a great support to Canada and the last time we spoke he told me to just hang in there and things would work out.
I hung in there and things worked out.
My heart is with you all and I will celebrate him and all the great things he did while he was here.

So very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. Like so many others, Jack was a mentor and friend both at work and within the church at Pennfield Presbyterian.
One of my favorite memories of Jack is sitting in his office and debating if the best Battle Creek Central Football team of all time, could beat the best Pennfield Football team of all time. :)
He will be greatly missed by all and we are all better people in this world for having him in our lives and knowing him. Until we meet again my friend...

Where do I start! The memories are many, Jack was a mentor and great friend. I've been reminiscing about our many trips to Elmhurst and Oakbrook, it was all work but along with the work were many long car rides and evening dinners, Jack always made it fun and interesting! For several years, Jack's office was close to mine, we had many heartfelt talks. For a time TJ worked for me, (he was so proud of you)!
I will miss you my dear friend.until we meet again. ❤

Jack did so much for so many of us and I am Blessed to have shared part of my career with him. Truly a leader yet he let all of us become a friend. It was his nature - funny yet serious - smart yet willing to listen. Caring, very caring. Not just with peoples career, but with their lives. He helped me in so many ways - so many times - and for this - I am forever thankful and Blessed to have had the honor in being able to call him Boss, but more importantly FREIND.
