Jim Hutchins was my cousin. My memories of him are to many to list but all of them great! One thing I will say is that he made the Hutchins name a name to be proud of. Not only for his craft but in the wonderful person he was. He was always there to help if it was needed in any way. My thoughts and love go to all my family in this time of grief. Im sorry I can not be there with you. Rest in peace Jim.

My name is Melissa Hutchins Harvey, Jim Hutchins was my 2nd cousin although I referd to him as Uncle Jim. I wish I could be with my family in this time of dispare. I have wonderful memories of my Uncle Jim, for starters I couldn't walk into the room with out him telling me " there is a Hutchins!". HaHA! Cause I have the the sure tell sign of a dimple in my chin. One time that stands out so clearly is when someone had shot a deer and it was hanging in the garage at our house my Dad( David Hutchins)and my cousins Kim and Todd and my Uncle Jim were there to make it into meat. My Dad wanted me to help and I was so grossed out and balling my eyes out cause all I could think is that they killed Bambie. My Uncle saved the day and told my Dad to let me go up to the house. He was one of the best people on the planet and will be greatly missed. I send all my love and hugs to my family

Oh how well we remember Jim and Nila. We had many good times with them when they lived here in Mich. Dan and I worked with Jim at Gibson Guitar. Jim and Nila organized all the Gibson bowling tournaments and canoeing trips up north.I remember a time when Jim,Nila,Dan and I went smelt dipping over to South Haven.they guys had tipped a few before we got there and while Nila and I went to get us all hamburgers the guys fishing ended. We got back and they were both soak and wet. A wave knocked them down they said. The truth neither of them could stand up. We had so much fun and so many laughs that night. It's hard to forget the little things in life that make you smile and be happy. Our sincere condolences goes out to all of Jim's family we know he is going to be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.Sandy and Dan Fleming
