Joseph Clarence "Joe" Brookmyer, age 73, of Battle Creek, MI, died Saturday evening, January 28, 2017 at The Oaks of NorthPointe Woods, Battle Creek, following a two-year illness.
Joe was united in marriage to the former Karen L. (nee: Rowe) Beatty in Las Vegas, NV on March 1, 1999. Surviving is his wife, Karen; a daughter, Kimberly A. Hall of Battle Creek; his son, Robert S. Beatty of Battle Creek and two precious grandchildren, Jacob S. Hall and Jennifer A. Hall, both of Battle Creek. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jacquelyn Tichenor and Mary Hesser.
The Graveside Service to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Thursday, 11:30 a.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI with the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard and the Fort Custer Honor Guard bestowing full military honors. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Joe's family with his arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe's honor may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.

Karen, sorry for your tragic loss. It was as hard on my brother and I as I am sure it was on you. As you know our father was always there for us and we are at a loss as to how we can go on now without him.
