Martin Lee "Fink" Finkbiner

Martin Lee "Fink" Finkbiner, age 81, Thursday, October 22, 2009, Martin Lee "Fink" Finkbiner went into the loving arms of his Lord.
Martin was born on May 27, 1928, the son of James and Hazel (Werner) Finkbiner. He had been a lifelong resident of the area. He was united in marriage to Bonnie J. "BJ" (Stevens) Buck Finkbiner on June 21, 1975. He was employed as a printer for the Battle Creek Enquirer for 41 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of the North Avenue Church of God, a 36 year member of the Eagles #299 serving as president and secretary, member of Marshall Moose Lodge #676 for 35 years, charter member of Michigan Eagles Family Recreation and the Typographical Union. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions. Martin bowled in several bowling leagues.
Surviving are 5 daughters, Pam (Mike) Spillane of Battle Creek, Cynthia (Wallace) Still of Monroe, GA, Lillian (Jack) Looper of Monterey, TN, Muriel Cook of Florida, Mary Sue Finkbiner of Battle Creek; 4 sons, Orville (Deb) Buck of Battle Creek, Clifford "Geno" Buck of Traverse City, Steve (Deb) Finkbiner of Battle Creek and Albert Renowden of Redding, CA; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his cat "Houston" his lap buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Roma Kincaid and Sylvia Criner; great-grandchild, CJ Buck and a nephew, Charles Kincaid.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2009, at the North Avenue Church of God with The Rev. James Sparks officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the North Avenue Church of God Youth Group. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
