Tracy Waterhouse Obituary

Tracy Alliene Waterhouse Athens Tracy Alliene Waterhouse, 77, died on January 9, 2013. Tracy was born in Kalamazoo on February 19, 1935 to Remmert and Helen Herwich. She was a master gardener, cook and artist, painting many lakeshore and farm landscapes and also soaring eagles or children on the beach. She loved rare and wild flowers, bird-watching, cats, and dairy cows. Her house was always highly decorated for every season. She wore out her Bible from years of study and cared for the rest of her family with great courage, strength and faith. She valued many heritage items from previous generations, especially her Dutch ancestry. Yet, the family's greatest inheritance has been faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior over many generations. Tracy wanted everyone to place faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His death on the cross as payment for sin. His resurrection life is given to all who trust Him. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill Waterhouse of Battle Creek and two sons; Mark Waterhouse of Battle Creek and Rev. Steven Waterhouse with wife Marilyn of Amarillo, Texas. There are three grandchildren: Carlton Waterhouse; Nathan Waterhouse with wife Dr. Stephanie Waterhouse of Lubbock, Texas; and Rachel Currie with her husband Colby of Denton, Texas. Tracy enjoyed great-granddaughter therapy from Olivia Grace Currie also from Denton. She is also survived by two siblings; Rev. Garrett Herwich with his wife Yvonne of Overland Park, Kansas, and Joyce Miller with her husband Gary of Burlington. There are many beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Burial will be private at the North Sherwood cemetery (arrangements by Spencer Funeral Home, Athens). A celebration of Tracy's life will be at Factoryville Bible Church in rural Athens on Sunday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastors Steven Waterhouse, Fred Goebert, and Merritt Johnson. The family suggests memorials for Tracy to be made to Factoryville Bible Church or the book ministry of Westcliff Bible Church of Amarillo, Texas. Labels in Tracy's memory will attached to books featured on www.webtheology.com.
