From our 50th wedding anniversary, 2 years ago

Dear Kunath Family,
As you may recall, during our college days Mary and I were very close to Don. To help you remember us, the picture attached is from our anniversary a few years back. Don and his Mom were at our wedding in 1962; and the last time we saw any of you was around our 25th wedding anniversary when you surprised us with a visit and a bottle of champagne. We have missed you all over the intervening years, but are very happy to be able to contact you now. We are 4 months late with these condolences, having just found the obituary yesterday. About 2 years ago when we were in the Chicago area, we spent 2 days trying to locate Don, and actually went to a vacated house in a western suburb, where our search ended. Perhaps there was another Don Kunath by name, but certainly no equal to the dear friend we lovingly remember. From the fine obituary picture, we had no trouble recognizing Don. May God's deepest peace be with you all. Please know that we hold Don in loving and prayerful memory.
Sincerely, Victor and Mary Dufour

I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your father. There are so many good memories with you all at your home and on the lake. My dad really thought a lot of your dad. Praying that the good Lord will embrace him and welcome into his arms.
