Florence Baker-Crump Obituary

Florence Baker-Crump, 82

Florence Baker-Crump, 82, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Pine Lane Nursing Center.

She was born September 5, 1932, in Henderson to the late, Luther and Dora (Willis) Talburt. Ms. Baker-Crump worked at the Department of Human Services in the Social Services Department for 35 years. She loved gardening and her family remembers her great ability of canning. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Noel G. Crump and a sister, Louise Martin.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Mary Baker of Mountain Home, Jack and Deborah Baker of Mountain Home, Dennis and Debbie Baker of Mountain Home and Bruce and Jo Baker; a brother, Bob Talburt of Mountain Home; a sister, Sue Walkup of Norman, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Tracy Tilley, Kelly Baker-Hefley, Mandy Belnap, Miranda Baker, Josh Baker, Misty and Jake Wilson, Robert Baker, William Baker and Niki Baker and eight great grandchildren.

The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

The funeral followed at 2:00 p.m. at Conner-Hankins Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Dr. David Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Custer-Herron Cemetery near Henderson under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Pallbearers were Shane Tilley, Josh Baker, Roger Talburt, Robert Baker and William Baker. David Murphy and Chris Hefley served as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
