I knew Forrest since I bought a boat in 1989. It was a 680t. His daughter Rhonda was such a sweetheart in titling my trailer. The whole family was so welcoming. Jesus gained an angel. What a man to praise the Spirit of Jesus. God Bless you my friend. I will never forget you.

I first met Forrest when I returned from Vietnam in 1970. It was at Tom Mann's fishing tournament in Eufaula, Alabama. He touched my heart just from saying thank you for serving our country. He was a very honorable man who also loved his country. It was really rough on me upon my return and he help lead me into fishing. Forrest provided me with a Red/White and Blue boat which I got put on the cover of MBAA magazine. When I got orders to go to Japan I through I would never get another boat from Forrest, but he told me if I wanted one in Japan we would figure a way to get it their. I had a special desk nameplate made for Forrest and when I came back to the USA I went to Flippin and sure enough it was on his desk. I ran into Forest several times during his Game and Fish days as Commissioner. He would always stop to go over some old times. He always made time for people. I took Forrest advice and upon retiring from the Air Force went to work for Tom Mann. We ran into each other a few times then and always had that smile and remembered my name. He will be truly missed in my life. Thanks for the memories my friend. Larry

Our sons worked for Mr Wood at his ranch in Flippin. He taught them so many invaluable lessons through his character and work ethic. It was worth more than any college education.
God bless your family through this difficult time.

I met Mr. Wood a couple of years ago at the Walmart in Flippin. Being new to the area I had heard a lot about Forrest. I approached him and introduced myself to him. We exchanged pleasantries and I told him that I worked for Ranger and that it was an honor to meet him. He ask me where and I told him. He made a joke about all the parts that go on the boats. We shook hands and went our separate ways. The whole encounter lasted maybe five minutes. I was impressed that he would take the time to have a conversation as short as it was with a total stranger. I am honored that I got to meet the man in this world.
To all the Wood family my condolences for passing of your loved one.

Forrest and Nina are truly great folks. We first met them in Clewiston, FL when Bass fishing first began. I was farming at the time and we sent them back home with crates of fresh vegetables. They never forgot us, we would see them at different shows over the years and they never forgot us, It is an honor to know such great folks.
Our prayers are with you Nina and all your family. We will always love you.

Forrest was a kind man, and was always sweet to me. He took Bill Norman, and I, through the Boat Plant, and let us pick out just want we wanted in a boat, starting right from the beginning of building the boat.
Had great times with him. God blessed him with giving to the lives of so many people happiness. I have great pictures of all of us, at Bass Masters Classics. Lunch, weighin's. I will always remember Forrest. So many loved and respected him. What a guy. He served his time long and well, for all who knew him. RIP, Forrest. You were an insperation always in my life. You will always be remembered by so many. Hope to meet you fishing some day.
