Harrell Stark Obituary
Harrell Stark, Jr., 59, of University City, MO, passed away in Barnes Hospital on Wednesday, May 31st, 2017, due to complications following an accident.
He was born to Harrell Dean and Marilynn (Mooney) Stark on July 9, 1957, in the U.S. Naval Hospital in Quantico, VA. Harrell was a lifelong Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church in Ellisville, MO.
Harrell received his early education from the Parkway School District in Chesterfield, MO, and was graduated from Parkway West Senior High School in 1975. He attended Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, MO, and was graduated from there in 1979 with a degree in Civil Engineering. While a student there he attended a USMC specialist training course in San Diego, CA, in 1977.
He was first employed at Westinghouse in St. Louis County. Following that he was employed by the Bunzl Company of Creve Coeur, MO, as a logistics analyst until his retirement in 2013.
Survivors include his parents, brother Steven (Jacki) and his beloved partner, Joann Baliva, an uncle, James Stark (Rena), two aunts, Peggy Mooney and Donna Stark, two nephews, Caleb (Abby) and Gavin (Emmy), two nieces, Ashley (Brian) and Kendal, ten cousins and five great nieces.
A funeral service will be conducted at Lupton Chapel, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City, MO, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 am.
Interment will be on the 6-Crossing Farm on the Big Piney River at Duke, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors.
The family will receive friends at Lupton Chapel prior to the funeral from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
