Lacy Spencer Obituary

Lacy Nicole Spencer, 34

Lacy Nicole Spencer, 34, and their unborn daughter Hadley Aniston Spencer, of Gardner, KS, passed away unexpectedly February 24, 2013 at their home. They were both cremated together.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, Mountain Home, AR. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm before the service at the church.

Lacy was born Aug 30, 1978 in Wichita, KS to Doc and Debbie G. (Vanhook) Matthews. She attended Arkansas State University. Lacy married Matthew Ryan Spencer on October 22, 2011 in Eureka Springs, AR. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Mountain Home, AR. They moved to Gardner from Shawnee in 2012. Lacy enjoyed cooking, movies, traveling, entertaining guests, decorating, attending swap meets, working puzzles, playing cards and board games. Family trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama each year were a special treat. She lit up a room with her smile. Lacy was a loving wife, and she continues to be a loving mother to Hadley in heaven. Lacy was a thoughtful daughter, protector and supporter of her sister Madi. The family was blessed to have her in their lives. She will be dearly missed by family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Vance L. Matthews, Doyle Vanhook, Lillie Sell, Marge McCormac, and Densil and Nettie Vanhook.

Lacy is survived by her husband Matthew and Skylar the cat of the home; father Doc Matthews and stepmother Janet of Cedar Rapids, IA; mother Debbie G. Harned, step-father Price Harned both of Mountain Home, AR; sister Madi Harned; step sisters Kimberly Rstom and Kristina Chambers; step brother Jason Harned; grandparents Irma and Don Cauley, Maxine and Gary Green, step grandmothers Jean Vanhook and Helen Henderson; great grandparents Elese Green and Richard Sell; many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be given to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas, or the Lacy Matthews-Spencer Memorial Fund at the Bank of the Ozarks, both in Mountain Home, AR.
