Patricia Bates, 84

Mrs. Patricia Ann Bates, age 84 of Mountain Home, formerly of Homewood, Illinois passed away Wednesday May 25, 2016 in Mountain Home. She was born September 1, 1931 in Libertyville, IL to Glenn Steele and Eleanor Gobin Steele. She married Billie James Bates. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and crafts. Mrs. Bates was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by 2 sons: Thomas J. Bates of Steger, IL and John D. Bates of Lakeview, AR; a daughter Billie A. Rossi of Bensenville, IL; 7 grandchildren: Jay Rossi, Emily Bates, Alexandria Bates, Luke Bates, Alexis Bates, Gabrielle Bates and Lance Bates. She was preceded in death by her husband Billie James Bates, a daughter Diana Bates, and a granddaughter Denise Rossi. Services are Private. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks 701 Burnett Drive Mountain Home, AR 72653. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
