Thomas Lawson Obituary
He was born July 21, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of William and Beatrice Bryant Lawson. On Aug. 3, 1964, TJ married the love of his life, Janeth Tillie, in Honor, Michigan.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, TJ devoted 20 years of service to his country. This career took his family to many places across the United States. In 1993, TJ and Janeth, moved from Woodbridge, Virginia, to settle in Mountain Home.
He was an active member of several organizations, including the Masons, Shriners, Scottish Rite and VFW. He enjoyed bowling and golf. He especially enjoyed listening to music. TJ was known for his love of bowling, golf and especially music, which brought him great joy throughout his life.
TJ is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janeth E. Lawson of Mountain Home, Ark.; daughters Kassie (Jack) Layne of Staunton, Va., and Janell (Austin) Rickey and granddaughter Hannah Kohler of Arlington, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for TJ will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with military honors taking place at 3:30 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by Alley-White American Legion Post 52 and the United States Air Force Honor Guards.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
