Wanda Dollahite Obituary

Wanda Jean Dollahite, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born on March 10, 1933, in Cordova, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Sarah Pounders Bowlan. On July 14, 1951, Wanda married Robert Dollahite in Hernando, Mississippi, creating a loving family and lasting memories.

In 1991, they moved to Mountain Home from Nesbitt, Mississippi, where she continued to spread joy through her passions for cooking, outdoor activities such as camping and fishing and nurturing her garden. Her home was a welcoming place filled with warmth and love.

Wanda is survived by her son, Eddie Dollahite of Mountain Home, Ark., and her three daughters, Becky (Fred) Shearer of Baton Rouge, La., Connie Dollahite of Mountain Home, Ark., and Tina (Scott) Kiehle of Albany, N.Y. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brad Dollahite, Heather McLean, Jenny (Travis) Serpas, Matthew Kiehle and Sarah Kiehle; four great-grandchildren, Marcus May, Micaela McLean, Jonathan Dollahite and Joseph Serpas; and brother Ronnie Bowlan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilber and Sarah Bowlan; her beloved husband, Robert Irvin Dollahite Jr.; her son, Lonnie Lee; son-in-law, Ken Shook; brother, Charles Bowlan; and sisters, Margaret Ballard and Helen Edwards.

Family and friends are invited to honor Wanda's memory during a visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at the Open-Air Chapel at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum in Mountain Home, Ark., with Heather Marsalis serving as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, Arkansas Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Hospice House for the exceptional compassion, comfort and loving care shown to their beloved mom and the support provided to her daughter, Connie, during this time.
