James Thomas Feaster, born September 13, 1940, in Hume, New York, went to Heaven Wednesday, June 8, 2016. He was 75 years young. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marge (Mellow) Feaster, Son - Tim Feaster and his wife Angela (Saccomanno) Feaster, Son - Nate Feaster and his wife Melissa (Baldy) Feaster and four grandchildren - Hope, Daniel, Briana, Ashlee. He is also survived by his Mother-In-Law - Bernadine Mellow.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1963 from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He began his teaching career in Eastern New York and before long moved to Lyndonville, New York, where he taught Science for nearly forty years. He was a devoted and loved co-worker and teacher. Many sought his wisdom. He was extremely active in his church as a deacon, an occasional preacher, uncountable Sunday school classes and Bible studies. He was a major part of building the addition to the church. He often was a cook at church bbq's and many church gatherings.
Jim and Marge made the move to Friendswood, Texas, in 1995 after retiring from teaching. He began the above process all over again in his new church home and soon became known for his wisdom, Bible teaching, and his cooking. No one can be certain which was his greater gift. He began a second career at Lone Star Compressor where he lived out love and compassion with those whom he came in contact. After many years, Nate opened his own company and Jim went to work for him as a purchaser. His true calling there was again, to live out his Christian life so that others could see what a man of God should look like.
He was a generous man who won awards for his generosity with The Star of Hope, but his giving went far beyond The Star of Hope.
