Marilyn Joan Lane, 79, of Friendswood, Texas passed away August 20, 2011. She was born April 24, 1932 in San Gabriel, California to Frank and Gertrude (Nimtz) Tarr. She was a very faithful member of Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood, Texas. Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her baby sister, Phyllis Lorraine Tarr; her parents; and former spouse, Richard Newton Lane, Jr. in 2006.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Debra Kay Edmiston and husband Robert and Janice Lane Goins and husband Don; son, Richard Newton Lane, III and wife Stephanie; brothers, John William Tarr and Frank Custer Tarr, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary Vigil at 7:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood, Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Rev. Phil "Skip" Negley, M.S. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
