Charles M. Lane

1969 - 2026

Mr. Charles M. Lane, age 57, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at a local hospital in Hiram.

Mr. Lane was born in Rome, GA, on March 23, 1969, son of the late Robert Gordon Lane and the late Clara Wileen Wood Lane. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Marnell Lane, Jr., and by his sister, Debbie Lane. Mr. Lane was a graduate of Chattooga High School and went on to receive various technical and mechanical certifications from Chattahoochee Technical College and from Coosa Valley Technical College (now Georgia Northwestern Tech). He was a true outdoorsman whose passion was fishing. Mr. Lane owned and operated K.C. Mechanical Services and loved his work. Despite his family's best efforts, no one could slow him down and was a member of Millwright Local Union #1263 for over 35 years. Above all, Mr. Lane loved his family, especially his granddaughters, who truly held the keys to his heart in their little hands.

Survivors include his wife, Kristi Stephens Lane, Hiram, to whom he was married on April 24, 1993; 3 children, Jordan Dean (Chad), Acworth, Matthew Lane, Rockmart, and Chase Lane, Hiram; 2 granddaughters, Kenzie and Maddie Dean; his brother, Mark Lane (Kim); numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 6pm on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with Dr. Jeremy Deaton officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4pm until service time at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.

Mr. Lane's brothers of Millwright Local Union #1263 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
