Noble Redden Obituary

Noble Lee "Tex" Redden, age 78, of Silver Creek, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at a local hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Tex was born in Silver Creek, Georgia, on October 15, 1947, son of the late Clarence Redden and the late Vera Azzilee Womack Redden. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Cass Smith; four brothers, Wilburn, Guy, Ricky, and Noah Redden; and a sister, Dell DeHaas.

Tex was a familiar face and a beloved part of the Silver Creek community-a place he was proud to call home his entire life. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family the moment they met him.

For 43 years, Tex poured his heart into the car business, owning and operating T&M Motors in Silver Creek. He had a true passion for selling cars, building relationships, and taking care of others, and if you knew Tex, you knew he always had a special love for a good Chevy.

The car lot wasn't just work to Tex-it was where life happened. It was a place filled with stories, laughter, and family. He was proud to work alongside his son, Jeff, and later his grandson, Zack, passing down not just a business, but a way of treating people right. In time, even his great-granddaughter, Chloe, became part of that legacy, bringing him so much pride and joy.

Tex led with kindness, humility, and grace, and treated others with a heart that mirrored Christ. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, always putting others before himself.

While he worked hard, nothing meant more to him than his family. Tex was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love ran deep and steady.

Tex had a special love for animals and always had a soft spot for his dogs, but his heart belonged in a special way to his little girl, Brusier. She wasn't just a pet-she was his baby, his constant companion, and rarely left his side.

Those who knew Tex will remember his kind heart, his selflessness, and the way he showed up for the people he loved and his community. His legacy of hard work, faith, loyalty, and love will live on through the many lives he touched.

Survivors include his loving wife, Melba (Morris) Redden; a daughter, Melissa Llewellyn (Tim); a son, Jeff Redden (Felicia); grandchildren, Zack Smith and Taylor Johnson; great-granddaughter, Chloe Smith (T. Sproull); a sister, Carolyn Alexander (Govan); along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with entombment to follow at Rome Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday at 1:30 PM and include Calvin Rampley, Buster Young, T. Sproull, Charles Hudson, Tim Llewellyn, and Vince Early. Honorary pallbearer is Ricky Mathews.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our sweet Tex. My husband and I have been acquainted with the family since we were children. Tex & Melba always have had open arms and an open home where many fond memories were made. Tex always had a ready smile whenever we saw him and he was so good with remembering how old our son was each time we met over the years. It was sweet of him to remember. His family was devoted to him - we know he was so well loved and supported always. We will continue to keep the family in our prayers during this difficult time. We love you!
