Heather Brooks Obituary
Heather was born in Anchorage, AK, on January 12, 1971, daughter of Ms. Joyce Gladin Melton and Mr. Rodney Melton. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Orrin Boatner. Always a shining light in this dark world, Heather is no longer bound by the ailments she endured and is rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity.
Survivors include the light of her life, her son, Skyler Brooks; her mother, Joyce Melton; father, Rodney Melton; 3 siblings, Holly Boatner, Angela Kallvig (John), and Joe Melton (Ire); her niece, Ke-Airra Warren (Jacob); great nephew, Orrin Henegar; numerous other family and friends whom she loved dearly.
A celebration of her life will be held at 4pm on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, with the Rev. Billy Fricks officiating and her Sunday School teacher, Greg Clark, delivering the eulogy.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2pm until service time at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church.
