Matthew R. Langdon passed away on August 8, 2015 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. at the age of 40.
Matthew was born on March 24, 1975 in Takoma Park, MD but called Houston, TX home for the last 26 years. He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1993 and attended St. Edward's University in Austin and San Jacinto College. From a young age, he played many sports. He carried his love of sports into adulthood as an avid fan of numerous collegiate and professional teams. In his youth, he coached swimming, waited in restraurants, and later moved into retail sales.
Matthew was a gift to all who knew him. He had a big heart and taught us what it means to love and laugh. No one was a stranger to Matthew. He made friends wherever he went. His road was not always smooth, but he walked that road with courage and love. He loved Jesus as his savior and is now in his eternal home with Him.
Matthew is survived by his parents Norwood and Erna Langdon, his sisters Melissa (Erik) Thingvoll and Katherine (Steven) Wheat, nephews Julian and Justin Matthew, nieces Sara, Alyssa, Jenny, and Leah, 6 uncles, 8 aunts, and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10 at 12pm at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church, 1511 El Dorado Blvd.
