Reynold W. Knops Jr., 80, of Friendswood TX passed away on Friday March 20, 2015. He was borne in Passaic, N.J. on November 25 1934 to Reynold and Mary Ann Knops. He graduated from Clifton High School then entered the U.S. Army in the 1950's serving in N.J. and Germany as Private First Class. He continued his education and went on to be an Engineering Draftsman at Singer, Exxon, and DuPont. Reynold was an amazing humanitarian, received a Black Belt 2 and had a great love for his family, friends, animals, baseball, and of course Jazz.
He was the first of four children survived by his brother, Mark; sisters, Mary Michale and husband Gordon, Paula and husband Marty. Reynold was a loving father to his children, Dean and wife Candace, Darrel and wife Nancy, Devin; daughter Becky and husband Dan. He is beloved by his grandchildren, John, Amanda, Callie, Bruce, Alexis, and Vanessa; great-granddaughter Kazidy; and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood Tx 77546 (281)992-7200.
In lieu of flowers, Reynold wished for donations to be made in his memory to The Humane Society at www.humanesociety.org .
