Edward J. Sienkiewicz, 86
Edward J. Sienkiewicz, formerly of Planters Run, Dover, passed away on May 9, 2023 in Dunmore,PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Audrey Casella in 2020.
Born in Scranton, PA he was the son of the late Joseph B. and Anna Steinetz Sienkiewicz. He was a 1955 graduate of Scranton Technical High School, where he was a member of the basketball, baseball and football teams. He served in the US Army stationed at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Chamberlain Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Dover, DE.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph Sienkiewicz, Chester Sienkiewicz, Bernard Sienkiewicz and Stanley Sienkiewcz, two sisters, Dorothy Sluck, Taylor, PA, and Eleanor Evans, Scranton, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at The Church of The Holy Cross, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE 19901. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16th at The Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901.
