Mary Moore Obituary

Mary Carey Moore, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on October 26, 2024 near Leipsic, Delaware. She was born January 2, 1942, daughter of Henry F. Carey, Sr and Agnes Black Carey. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Eugene T. Moore; siblings Janet A. Carey, Henry F. Carey II, and Agnes C. Heather. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She is survived by her brother, John J. Carey and wife Louise and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a graduate of Dover High School. She worked for over 25 years as the Office Manager for Mitten and Winters CPA's. She was their first employee and was respected for her commitment and dedication not only to her job but to her clients.
Mary enjoyed traveling, playing cards, shopping and entertaining. She was devoted to her family, her friends and her cat Mabel. Anyone stopping by to see her was always welcomed and made to feel at home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, New York 10306.
Graveside service will be Monday, November 4th, 11am at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 35 Rising Sun Road, Camden Wyoming, DE 19934.
