Michael B. Plunkett, 82
EASTON - Michael B. Plunkett passed away on November 19, 2022 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Cumberland on November 24, 1939 to the late Brian Plunkett and Honora Wood Plunkett.
Mr. Plunkett graduated from Niagara Falls High School in New York in 1957, and immediately joined the United States Navy, with which he proudly served. He then went on to attend Wesleyan College. Mr. Plunkett worked with the Maryland State Highway Administration for 45 years. On January 29, 2011, he married the former Joyce Ann Merryman. He enjoyed fishing and playing computer games, especially Jewel Quest.
Mr. Plunkett is survived by his wife Joyce Merryman Plunkett of Easton, daughters Teresa Plunkett King of Elizabethtown, PA, Lynn Plunkett Fluharty of Vienna, and their mother Ella Mae Galloway, Angela Falcone of Glen Burnie, Robin Kennedy of Easton, Rebecca Scott of Florida, Shirl Dahan of Easton, Deanna Turillo of Kentucky, Christina Cannon of Cambridge, and Elizabeth Dawson of Virginia; 20 grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family members. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Plunkett.
A memorial service will be held on December 2, 2022 at 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
