Princeton - Joey Robert Harris, 69, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Joe was born on January 23, 1955 to Johnnie and Annie (Gore) Harris. He graduated Princeton High School in 1973. He went on to Blackhawk College and later worked at Barrs Steel in Granville.
In 1974 he married Brenda Becker. The two of them welcomed a son Justin.
Joe enjoyed fishing and camping. He especially liked morel hunting with his nephews, Chance Storm and Timothy Halberg. He would often go on rides to view the great outdoors and the wildlife. Joe loved playing cards and spent many hours with his family doing so.
Joe is survived by his son, Justin (Leandra) Harris and their 3 children. He is survived by one sister, Joelle Storm of LaSalle, IL, and 2 brothers: Julian Harris of Princeton, IL and David (Susan) Harris of Dayton, Tennessee.
He had a large extended family but being an uncle to his nieces and nephews brought him great joy.
He is preceded in death by his former spouse, his parents, his sisters Jean Welsh, Linda Glynn, and BeBe Jewel, and his brother-in-law, Douglas Storm, nieces Rhonda Martin and Katrina Anderson.
Visitation for Joe will be held at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments at 12:00 officiated by Pastor Cameron Graper.
Graveside Services to follow at Oakland Cemetery, in Princeton, IL. with pastor Cameron Graper offering words of comfort.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
