Todd Maynard Obituary

Todd Andrew Maynard
Born: March 27, 1986 in Princeton, IL
Died: April 8, 2025 in Walnut, IL
Walnut - Todd Andrew Maynard, 39, of Walnut, IL, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous 2-month battle with cancer.
Todd was born on March 27, 1986, in Princeton, IL, He was the beloved son of Michael Maynard and Susan (Stillwell) Maynard. He was a proud graduate of Bureau Valley High School and later earned his Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University.
On June 18, 2011, he married the love of his life, Dana Rod in Princeton, IL. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two cherished daughters, Blake (12) and Brynn (8).
Todd dedicated 17 + years to his work at Advanced Asphalt of Princeton, where he was respected for his commitment and work ethic. He was also an active member of the Peoples Church and was honored to be inducted into the Bureau Valley Hall of Fame.
An avid outdoorsman, Todd found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time on Ranger rides with his girls. He was known for his storytelling-especially when recounting the one that got away-and he earned the title of grill master among friends and family. It was the time with his girls that made him enjoy life the most. He adored them and wanted to teach them everything he knew and they absorbed his words like sponges.
Todd is survived by his loving wife of nearly 14 years, Dana Maynard; his daughters, Blake and Brynn Maynard, all of Walnut; his father, Mike (Carolyn) Maynard; his mother, Sue Maynard; and his brother, Chris Maynard. He also leaves behind many extended family members and a circle of dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, several beloved aunts and uncles, and his faithful dog, Duke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish a trust for his daughters, Blake and Brynn.
Todd will be remembered for his strength, humor, big heart, and the love he shared with those around him.
