Bunny Morgan Obituary
May 4, 1928 - July 22, 2022
In loving memory of Bunny Morgan, who passed away July 22, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born in rural Wayne County, MI on May 4, 1928. After graduating from Michigan State University, she moved to the island of Guam to work as an art teacher at the local school. It was there that she met and married her husband, Bill Morgan, who was enlisted in the navy and stationed on Guam.
After living for a few years in Cambridge, MA and Rome, Italy, they settled in Atlantic Beach in 1959, where they resided for the rest of their lives. She worked as an art teacher and later on as the business manager to support her husband's architectural firm.
Throughout her life, she was an accomplished watercolor painter and an active member of the Watercolor Society. She was one of 35 Florida artists in the traveling exhibit "Liquid Muse: Paintings of the St. John's Region." Another of her paintings was featured in the Tallahassee Supreme Court Rotunda. She was also an avid gardener, water aerobics enthusiast, and cat lover. Full of energy and positivity, she was always the life of the party.
Bunny was preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents Gladys and Erwin Leimbach, sister Gloria Schaffer, brother Ken Leimbach, and half-brother Glenn Lindsey. She is survived by her two sons Newton Morgan (Jenny) and Dylan Morgan (Clicker) as well as her grandchildren Lucy, Seton, Naomi, Mary Giles, and Willa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Fleet Landing.
