Anna Robinson Obituary
LIVE OAK - Anna Terese Robinson (née Pellitteri), 96, a former resident of DeLand, transitioned peacefully Aug. 22, 2025.
Born Aug. 2, 1929, in Paterson, New Jersey, Anna lived a long and vibrant life rooted in family, tradition and resilience.
The daughter of Sicilian immigrants Vito Vincenzo Pellitteri and Giovannina (née Tripi) from Agrigento province, Anna was raised with a deep pride in her heritage and faith.
Known affectionately as Ann or "Nunu" by her mother during childhood, she carried forward the values of loyalty, discipline and love that were instilled in her from an early age. These qualities became the foundation upon which she built her life and raised her family. She was a healer and had a special connection to God and her angels.
Anna's professional journey was marked by determination and an entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside her former husband, Carvious Esau "Bud" Robinson - the father of her children - she owned and managed gas and service stations in Miami. Later in life, she continued her dedication to hard work through a career with the U.S. Postal Service, before retiring.
Family was at the heart of everything Anna did. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shirlee Mina (Mark); sons James C. Robinson and Vincenzo Robinson; grandchildren Denise, Michelle, Charles, Jason, Joanne, Katie, Ashley, Jennifer, Gloria, Vincent and Michael; as well as many beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her extended family includes cherished nieces and nephews, and cousin Benjamin "Pippo" Pellitteri.
Anna now joins in eternal rest those who passed before her, daughter Lucinda Rys; son Carvious "Bud" Robinson Jr.; parents Vito Vincenzo Pellitteri and Giovannina (née Tripi); sisters Giuseppina Pellitteri and Rose Marie Verrilli; brother-in-law Salvatore Verrilli; brother Vito Pellitteri Jr.; grandsons James and Gerald Robinson; cousin Carmen Pellitteri; and former husband Carvious Esau "Bud" Robinson.
Anna's home was always filled with warmth - often centered around the kitchen, where she expressed her love through food. A passionate cook who made sure no one ever left hungry, she found joy preparing meals as Dean Martin or Luciano Pavarotti filled the air.
Her favorite film was Beaches, a reflection perhaps of the deep emotional connections she valued throughout her life.
Anna had a flair for elegance, taking meticulous care of herself with fine cosmetics and perfumes, and believed in presenting herself with grace each day. Her sense of style set an example for generations to follow.
She also loved entertaining friends and family alike; guests were always welcomed into an atmosphere of comfort and hospitality.
A gifted storyteller with a sharp memory for cherished moments shared among family and friends, Anna brought people together through laughter and reminiscence. She made friends wherever she went, her warmth leaving lasting impressions on all who met her.
Anna Terese Robinson leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, tradition and unwavering devotion to family. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
