Cheri' D. Lytle, 47 years of age, of Wymore, passed away at the Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln Friday morning, Nov. 27, 2015. She was born on Aug. 9, 1968 in Beatrice to Donald and Connie (Root) Leseberg, and was a graduate of Beatrice High School.
She had been married to Kevin Ankersen, and they later divorced. Then Cheri' and David Lytle were married on May 3, 1991. They own and operate the Behrens Meat Plant in Wymore, where Cheri' had been employed for the past 27 years. She had lived in Beatrice and Wymore for most of her life. She was attending and was an active supporter of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wymore; was a member of the Wymore Park Board, Wymore Zoning Committee, Wymore Community Center Board, and was a very active supporter and volunteer for many Southern Public Schools activities. She enjoyed collecting fish, crocheting, and working in her yard and flower garden. Cheri' especially enjoyed supporting and caring for her family, being a Nana, and was the backbone for her entire family.
Survivors include her husband David; two sons, Colton and Jaxon of Wymore; daughter Chelsea' (Justin) Guiffre and grandson Wyatt of Beatrice; her mother, Connie (Don) Riensche of Beatrice; sister Angel (Jimmy) Cookus of Wymore; brother Chad (Carrie) Leseberg of Beatrice; step-brother Alan (Janet) Riensche of Blue Springs; step-sister Vicki (Tom) Sorensen of Crete; father-in-law Ron Lytle of Wymore; sisters-in-law Rhonda Lytle and Kara (Jason) Carel of Beatrice; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many very close friends.
Cheri' was preceded in death by her father, Don Leseberg; son Justin Ankersen; mother-in-law Glenna Lytle; grandparents Wallace and Juanita Leseberg and Jack and LaVonne Root; nephew Jake Cookus; and cousins Brad Leseberg and Terri Ann Hicks.
Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wymore, with Father Ferdinand Boehme officiating. Interment will be at the Blue Springs Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore, with the family greeting friends from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
