Errol Lee Parthemer, 78 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. He was born on November 5, 1940 in Frankfort, Kansas to Jacob and Edith (Bennett) Parthemer. Errol graduated from Frankfort High School in Frankfort, Kansas and attended Kansas State University. He was a radio announcer in Marysville, Kansas and then in Riverton, Wyoming. He married Mary Lue Ore on August 15, 1962 in Riverton, Wyoming. They moved to Beatrice in 1972 where Errol worked as a meat cutter for Umphenour Grocery and as a cook at The Steeple House. He retired as a CMA at BSDC and worked as a greeter at Walmart. Errol enjoyed Kansas State Football, cooking, eating, growing flowers and vegetables, Facebook and especially his grandkids.
Errol is survived by his daughter, Beverly Carl and husband Ned of Huntsville, Alabama; son, William Richard Parthemer of Beatrice; grandchildren, Christina Carl and fiancé Addon, Tyler, Ryan and Cameron Parthemer, Jacob and Erin Parthemer; great grandchildren, Noah, Benny and Abel Parthemer; sister, Betty Fairchild of Frankfort, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Lue on November 22, 2011; son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Margaret Parthemer; and brothers, Lloyd, Clayton and Dow.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Christ Community Church in Beatrice with Pastor Jack Magness officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Virginia Cemetery near Virginia. A register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to Christ Community Church or the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com.
