Gary L. Parde, 75, of Beatrice, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He was born on November 24, 1949, in Beatrice, to Edward "Arnold" and Alvera (Jurgens) Parde. He graduated from Beatrice High School. He married Valerie Ideus in 1969 and they were blessed with three children. Gary was a brilliant carpenter and mechanic and usually had numerous projects going simultaneously. He belonged to several bowling leagues, played softball with the church league, and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and being with family and friends.
Survivors include his fiancé, Eileen Benash; son, Jarrod Parde; daughters, Heather (Brian) Rezac and Audra (Brian) Hitz; seven grandchildren, Cara, Dalton, Devin, Hadley, Oliver, Connor, and Olivia; brother, Dan Parde; sister, Wanda Franken and fiancé, Dave Anderson; nieces, nephews, and cousins; Eileen's daughter, Brenda (Josh) Trauernicht. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Parde and Alvera Parde Paben; stepfather, Marvin Paben; sister, Janice Holsing.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Jon Palmquist officiating. Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. A book for signatures will be available on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 12 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice for future designation. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
