I just learned of Bennie’s passing. I am sorry my husband and I missed his service. We would have certainly been there to honor such a dear man. I cannot recall a single instance of seeing him that he did not have a welcoming smile on his face and a kind word. He always made those around him feel special. We will miss him. We will keep you all in our prayers. Michele and Mitchell Smith

For many years Bennie was our faithful Bartender here at The BARN in Kountze. He made it all special for all of the couples that got married by making him part of their party.. It was amazing to see so may couples send their condolences on our FB from years past when Bennie was their Bartender... He was a special person and we all loved him...

Bennie Ray Hill was one of my all time favorite class mates. Truly the nicest guy you could ever know. We ran track together and were on relay teams together. My last visit with him was at a South Park High School Class of 1973 reunion. We sat together and reminisced for a long time. I can say to his children and grandchildren that he was a young man of impeccable character. His smile and gentle demeanor will never be forgotten. He once told me after a race, “ You are the fastest white boy I ever saw; if you weren’t so ugly I’d claim you as a brother!” Then he smiled that Great smile.
I send much love to his memory, and prayers of comfort to his family.
