Billy Massey Obituary

1940 - 2017 Billy Edward Massey, 76, of Evadale, died Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born on March 30, 1940, in Beaumont, to Margie Isabel Moore Massey and Aulton Edward Massey. Bill was a mechanic and veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He is survived by his sons, Jared Massey and his wife, Stephanie, of Beaumont; and Raylin Massey, of Lafayette, Louisiana; daughter, Dana Lenell Smith and husband, Greg, of Call; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kylie Massey, of Beaumont; Gina Collins, of The Woodlands; Rader and Seeley Massey, of Lafayette, Louisiana; Christopher Smith, of Call; and fifteen other grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Hale, of Little Elm; and Lynn Sturrock, of Dayton; step-children, Troy Palmer, of Missouri; Steven Palmer, of Vidor; Tammy Laughlin, of Vidor; and Ilene Hebert, of Kingwood; and other loving family members and friends. Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Sonya Kaye Hilton Massey; and his parents. Fisherman's Prayer I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray: When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep, That in His mercy that I be judged big enough to keep. A private family committal will be held at Broussard's Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
