George Simonton Obituary

George Bond Simonton Jr. passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at the age of 77 after a decline of health over recent months in Spring, Texas.

George was born to Gertrude and George Simonton Sr. in Ruston, LA. A Louisiana Tech Accounting graduate and CPA, George spent much of his career in banking, retiring in 2015. While working in Beaumont, he met the love of his life Donna, and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage.

George was an avid reader who enjoyed fishing, cooking, and a love for cruising. He cherished relaxing with his wife at their house in Crystal Beach, Texas, and spending quality time with his grandkids.

George is survived by his wife, Donna, daughter Kelly, stepson Keith Tennison and wife Lori, stepdaughter Tracy and husband John Codrington with beloved grandchildren Abby and Reed Codrington.

Memorial services will be at The Woodlands Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Dr., The Woodlands, Texas on Wednesday February 7th, 2pm.

Enjoyed visiting them when donna worked at American Real estate and my husband and George and donna we go out to dinner on regular occasions, but I always enjoyed seeing them because they always enjoy doing things together. He will be greatly missed my heart hurts hurts for family.
