Jerry Langford Obituary

Jerry Langford Sr. 69, of Orange, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 2 pm in the chapel of Broussard's in Nederland. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11 am Wednesday, December 10, 2008 until time of service at 2 pm at the mortuary. Mr. Langford was a native of DeKalb, Texas and a lifetime resident of The Golden Triangle. He was a Boilermaker for many years traveling all over the country and a member of The Boilermakers Union International. He was a cowboy and enjoyed working with horses and cattle and playing the guitar. Jerry is survived by his wife, Betty of Orange; sons, Jerry Langford Jr. and wife Irma of Orange and Thomas Langford and wife Jerrilynne of Groves; daughters, Denise Zehrung and husband Gary McCurley of Nederland and Cindy Zeno and husband Robert of Beaumont and12 stepchildren. Also survived by sisters, Betty Mize and husband Clyde of Orange and Rhonda Stanley and husband Randy of Nederland; 41 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Jerry will be especially missed by his faithful dog Rusty and his horse Fancy. He was preceded in death by 2 stepsons. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jerry R. I was a childhood playmate of Jerry's. We had many wonderful times together. I was just thinking of him the other day, wondering how he was doing. So sorry to read of his passing. May you rest in peace Jerry Ray.
