Larry Dunk

1942 - 2015 Larry Gene Dunk, Sr., 73, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on February 7, 1942, to Stella Hanks Dunk and Ernest Dunk, in Port Arthur. Larry worked as a barber for many years, and he loved his customers and they loved him. He was easy going and a people person. When he wasn't working at the barber shop he was fishing or gardening. Survivors include his wife, Judy Marie Dunk; son, Larry Dunk, Jr.; daughter, Connie; brothers, Donnie Dunk and his wife, Joyce, of Groves and Jerry Dunk of Port Arthur; and sister, Lola Godwin of Round Rock. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Margaret Dunk and Linda Dilocker. A gathering of Mr. Dunk's family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, 3098 US Highway 69 Access Road, Nederland.
