Michael Allen Obituary

1946 - 2014 Michael Allen, 67, of Kountze, died on June 21, 2014. He was born September 20, 1946, in Beaumont, TX, to Mary and Paul Allen. Michael was a man of few words who kept mostly to himself. He was a loving son and brother who enjoyed caring for his birds. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Clara Townsend and Pat Rhoden; niece, Lynnell Willoughby; nephews, Wayne and Scott Townsend and Tommy Rhoden; and best friend, Charlie Bimbo Price. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jimmy Allen. A gathering of friends and family will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. His life honoring service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Saddened to hear of Mike ' s passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

I grew up in the North End of Beaumont. I had a friend named Mike Allen that I went from the 1st Grade at Edwards Elementary all the way to graduation from French High School with. If this is my childhood friend, I am deeply saddened. Here's thinking of you Mike.
