Bill Reiche passed away Tuesday evening, June 16, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Ultimately he won his battle as he is now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill moved to the Beaumont area in 1976 where he worked as branch and store manger in the stainless pipe and tubing business for over thirty years of faithful service. He retired from McJunkin Redman Pipe and Supply on December 15, 2008. During this time, he had made numerous good friends who will miss him. Bill was born in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri. He taught music and was choir and band director for eight years in Unionville, Missouri. He was an accomplished trumpet player and played with jazz great, Pat Metheny. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Anna Alice and Otto William Reiche. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Frances Reiche; brother, Ron Reiche and his wife Jean; sister, Diane Hurley of Lees Summit, Missouri; step-daughter, Rebecca Pleasant, and her son, Christopher Edwards; step-son, Byron Pleasant; nieces, Melanie Jones, and Rhonda Vaughan; great nieces, Heather Beagnaud, Carrie Renner, Kimberly Sebastian and Sierra Vaughan; great nephew, Justin Vaughan; several great great nieces and nephews; and his puppy dogs, Goldie and Magic. He will be sorely missed by his wife, family, and all of his dear friends. His funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware, Beaumont with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at Broussard's. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Gary Clayton, Dr. Scott McKenney, Dr. Sergio Giralt with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. McKenney's nurse, Kelly, Dr. Suresh Indupalli, and all the nurses on 4 South at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
