Daniel Pettman Obituary

Daniel “Dan� Frederick Pettman, 62, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his residence. Born on June 14, 1951, the son of Doris Lee Richards Pettman and the late Howard Frederick Pettman. A former missionary and pastor, Dan was also a rural mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Bedford county. He attended Covenant Fellowship Church. In addition to his mother, Dan is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Grace Evelyn Brandt Pettman; five children, Evelyn McNab and her husband, Mathieu of Colorado Springs, CO, Timothy Daniel Pettman of Tidewater, Titus Pettman, Abigail Pettman, Nathanael Pettman all of Bedford; two sisters, Elizabeth Osborne and her husband, Neil, and Deborah Spencer and her husband, Ric; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Vis officiating. The burial will be private.
