Alberta Embrey Obituary
Alberta E. Embrey, nee Hornbostel, 87, of Jacob, Ill., born March 1, 1920, in Jackson County, Ill., died Monday, April 16, 2007, at Chester Memorial Hospital, Chester, Ill.
Mrs. Embrey had been a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Ill. She enjoyed being with her family and loved her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Korando and John Embrey; her parents, Martin and Erna, nee Brelje, Hornbostel; a grandson, Dennis Korando Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Penny Korando; and two sisters, Frieda Heins and Cora Gutersloh.
Surviving are her children, Dennis Korando Sr., of Jacob, Ill., and Linda (Bill) Moody of Dupo, Ill.; her granddaughters, Tammy (Terry) Grime and Christy Korando; and her great-grandsons, Tyler Clarke and Jeremy Grime.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research Fund or Portals of Prayer c/o Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, Ill.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Michael Kettner officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
